2011 Special Olympics Nebraska Summer Games

This is an Event Video of the 2011 Special Olympics Nebraska Summer Games.  Athletes from all over the state came together for a weekend filled with friends, fun, and tons of sporting events.  The opening ceremonies were held on May 19th at Creighton University’s DJ Sokol Arena.  Athletes paraded in, cheered on by their families, coaches, and many other Omaha community members including Mayor Jim Suttle.  The torch was lit and The Confidentials treated the athletes to a special concert.  These event videos really captures the excitement of this year’s Summer Games and really gives the viewer an idea of what the weekend felt like. The video below is of the Opening Ceremonies, and the video above is of the entire Summer Games.

Event videos are important because they capture some of the most meaningful moments of the day and share them with those who may or may not have attended, providing a followup of the day’s speakers and breakout sessions. One of the main issues following major events or summits is how to get attendees to take what they learned from the day, share with others, and incorporate into daily routine. Event videos help solve the issue by keeping the event fresh in everyone’s minds and providing a visual reminder of important items they may have missed or forgotten. Post-event viewings bring back all the motivation and excitement from the event and keeps the momentum rolling. This video is also a great addition to a company’s website or Facebook page, and offers viewers an in depth look at some of the amazing events put on by YOUR company.
