The Omaha Area Health Education Center’s goal for the next year is to become your resource for health care careers and a healthy community. AHEC’s mission is to work with Douglas and Sarpy Counties to recruit, educate and inspire underrepresented students’ interest in careers in the health professions as well as encourage health care professionals in providing equitable and quality services to disadvantaged and underserved populations. The organization has multiple summer camps all across the metro area that offer students hands-on experience, great field trips, and CPR certification. These summer camps are so thoughtfully put together and the instructors really make the most of each session, leaving the students with valuable lifelong skills and inspiration to reach their goals. AHEC also offers CPR certification for individuals, businesses, and anyone else who is interested.
