Heartland Family Service Salute to Families: The Gomez Family

Leadership is a characteristic that is highly valued in the Gomez family. For John Sr., leadership was part of his upbringing, taught to him in a firm but fair manner. After meeting his wife Lorry, the two made sure that leadership was a value they taught to their children. In an effort to recognize their efforts, the family was recognized by Heartland Family Service, earning the 2011 award for Leadership as part of the Salute to Families campaign.

Heartland Family Service is a non-profit organization dedicated to families. With the Salute to Families campaign, Heartland Family Service creates a great sense of community by honoring eight families in the Omaha and Southwest Iowa area. This series of videos are similar to our profile videos but they are designed to highlight a family. These videos also work great for non-profits by showcasing their hard work and how it benefits families in the community!
